Crease circles, attack areas, wing lines, restraining lines, and midfield — correct for boys and girls programs. NY, NJ, and CT high school and club teams.
Get a QuoteBoys and girls lacrosse have different field specs. Many contractors get them wrong. We don't.
Boys vs. girls field dimensions aren't the same. Girls lacrosse uses a different crease radius (8.5 ft vs. 9 ft for boys), no attack area box, and different restraining line placement. We know the difference — and we confirm which ruleset (NFHS, NCAA, US Lacrosse) applies to your program before marking a single line.
| Line / Feature | Boys (NFHS) | Girls (NFHS) |
|---|---|---|
| Field length | 110 yards | 120 yards max |
| Field width | 60 yards | 70 yards max |
| Crease radius | 9 feet | 8.5 feet |
| Attack area (goal area) | 20 × 35 yard box | No box (free movement) |
| Restraining lines | 20 yards from each end | 15 yards (scoring arc) |
| Center circle | 10 yards diameter | 9 yards diameter |
The crease is the most critical accuracy point on any lacrosse field. We use proper compass-and-string technique — no freehand. Every crease is geometrically correct.
Boys only. The 20×35-yard attack area defines positioning rules for 6 offensive players. Correct placement relative to the goal is non-negotiable for rule enforcement.
Wing lines run the width of the field to define restraining positions. Center line, center circle, and face-off dot must all be precisely placed relative to field geometry.
We mark goal line extensions and assist with goal positioning relative to the crease. A properly positioned goal — 15 yards from the endline — makes all downstream geometry correct.
Spring lacrosse season is wet. Lines fade faster in April and May than any other time of year. We schedule bi-weekly or weekly repaints through your full season.
Multiple fields for a single-day tournament, all lined correctly to the same standard. We've set up 6-field lacrosse tournaments in under 4 hours. Schedule us the morning before.
Yes. We confirm the exact ruleset — NFHS, NCAA, or US Lacrosse youth — and mark accordingly. If you're not sure which applies to your program, we'll help you figure it out.
A full initial layout (measuring, all circles, all lines) takes about 2.5–3 hours for one field. A repaint following existing lines takes 60–90 minutes. We can line two fields in a half-day.
All the time. Shared-use fields with overlapping markings are common in parks and school complexes. We use color differentiation where possible and paint over vs. intersecting lines correctly — it's a field-by-field conversation.
We primarily handle outdoor field lacrosse. Contact us to discuss indoor or box lacrosse surface work — it depends on the facility and surface material.
